Happy 5th birthday !
If truth be told, I didn’t plan to have a birthday party this year. However, as my sweets girls big day got closer she asked what kind of party she was going to have and I didn’t have the heart to tell her we weren’t having one. I know that one day she would have understood this decision, but for the time being we are dealing with a 5 year old.
Will little time to spare I began searching for a theme. Braley loves the Yum Yum Shop and ice cream so I thought what better than a big ole’ ice cream party. After a few searches on Etsy I found the perfect set, sent it to my cart, checked-out and sent it down to the journal to be printed. The luck continued when I started looking for an outfit, how ironic that Gymboree would have an ice cream cone shirt? The birthday girl and all our goodies displayed.
The teacher in me and friends knew that the kids would need an activity to keep them busy while we waited for others to arrive and ordered ice cream. What better than a coloring sheet? I love to watch kids eat ice cream, but just can’t seem to figure out how that get it all over those sweet little faces.
Of course Braleys’ favorite part of the night was opening her gifts. When we got home she told me her favorite gift was the jewelry box Uncle Boy and Brooke gave her. What a sweet gift and I love that it’s something that she can have forever.
I can’t believe that my babies 5th birthday has come and gone. Next week when we go back to school she will attend Kindergarten Orientation…. where has the time gone?
Just a few pictures………….
