First Swim of the Season

Yesterday I was in definite need of some peace and my three year old wasn’t about to take a nap. What better than breaking out the bathing suits and heading off to the pool. I would love to have a pool right here in my own back yard, but Brandon has two different Aunts / Uncles with these glorious cement ponds in there back yards. Did I happen to mention that they both live less than 10 minutes away? Did I happen to add that one of them is Kimberly’s in-laws and that the pool is also in her yard? I didn’t? Well what better than being able to enjoy a good swim with good company?

So, yesterday Braley and I loaded up the car and headed down for the first swim of the season. Come summer Kimberly and I may just have to collaborate and write a blog together. No lie our days consist of a little house cleaning, cooking lunch (Kimberly), and by 1/2 o’clock we are in the pool until at least 6 or 7.

Yesterday wasn’t quite the normal adventure as Kimberly and Charlee were over being Meme’s nurse-maids. When Kimberly tells you that she always is involved in something…. believe her it is the truth. Only Kimberly, could I invite to my house for a movie night and we end up outside killing a coral snake in my yard (still waiting on the pictures & blog). Kimberly and I were first introduced to the world of blog by our friend Jawan (our ex/ old pastor’s sister-in-law). Here are a couple of her old blogs about her adventures with Kimberly and me last summer.

In case you don’t have time to read them the following comment should sum up the excitement of the pool.

“After lunch, we decided to just skip naptime and go straight to the pool. The pool was fun but the owner has 16 dogs so my kids enjoyed playing with the canines a little more than being fish in the water. Next to the pool sat a cow pasture (remember how I told you we were in the backwoods of north central Florida?) so I grabbed my camera to get a picture of "Bessy and her gang".”

Needless to say, the water is still a little cool but the afternoon was nice and I am excited about the days ahead.

What I would give for a cement pond! All we have is a dirty ol pond out front that's a little smelly. We WON'T be swimming in that nasty thing!

I hope you are able to enjoy the rest of your spring break. Hang in there.

You are welcome to come swimming anytime you want.... especially since you help(ed) clean the pool (thanks). I am eagerly waiting when I have some spare time in which I can soak up some sun.
