One of my dearest friends, Franne, has also been bite by the sewing buy. You have to know this girl, she is crazy (good crazy), and super talented. When she puts her mind to something is will be complete, even if it takes her half the night.
I wish I had some pictures of our day adventure, but I don’t. Around lunch we met up at the Ivy House and then headed down the street to the fabric store. After 3 hours and many laughs later we had the perfect fabric and big plans.
After much persuasion we talked our husband into agreeing to our late-night sewing plans. Around 8 Franne and her girls pulled in at my Mom’s house and the fun began.
Getting sewing advice of just gabbing?
While these crayon rolls aren’t hard, they aren’t exactly easy. It has taken several times and working together to get them right where we want them.
When it come to sewing, trial and error also means a lot of this……….
Three silly girls……
who found good uses for the fabric scraps.
About 1:45 when the phone rang we decided we had better start calling it a night. By 2 we had things cleaned up and headed home for a good nights sleep.
I couldn’t end this post without a picture of the boots. Franne loves her some boots, and is plenty tall enough to pull them off. While I wasn’t sure about them at first, they have grown on me and I think they are pretty stinkin’ cute and fit her just right.
